Statism In Today's America

Are today's DemoRats and Ripofflicans both statists? You betcha. Wake up and smell the reality of our world today comrade. It's the reality they don't teach you in a PolySci course.

Statism - it is probably not what you thought it was! But baby, it's all around you today!
Here is the real bottom line. It's not a Republican thingy, or even a Democratic thingy, even though both parties will accuse the other of it. It's a feature of both parties. Oftentimes it's a "plank" in their platform, but of course they don't call it "statism." Oh no, as politicians they know better.

Until we realize that and return our government to it's proper role and function, each man, woman and child will continue to suffer under the yoke of more of it.

For many of us, the impact of the reception we received upon return from Vietnam has for many lingered as a sour taste. Recent events 'welcoming home' Vietnam veterans have gone unattended for many of us too.
After so many years, the bile cannot be removed by a nicely done ceremony. As a result of that bitter legacy many of us took a vow, not knowing our other Vietnam vets had too. It was simple. "Never Again, we pledged."
And over these years we have supported our men and women who serve and fight in our name. We have kept that pledge. Yet, we have all had the moments as depicted in this video. For the lucky ones, the outcome was similar to what is depicted here. It has softened that bitterness a little.

A Russian warship which some media reports claimed was carrying arms destined for Syria has arrived at the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk on Friday, a spokesman said. The Nikolai Filchenkov, an amphibious ship, was en route from the Crimean port of Sevastopol, Black Sea Fleet spokesman Vyacheslav Trukhachev told RIA Novosti. "The military hardware, which the vessel delivered, will undergo planned repairs,"

Trukhachev said, adding that the ship will return to Sevastopol after it is unloaded next week. Western media reports last week asserted the Nikolai Filchenkov and another amphibious ship, the Caesar Kunikov, were heading to Syria, where Russia has its only naval base outside the former Soviet Union. The Russian military denied the reports. Pro-democracy protesters in Syria are fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in a 15-month-old uprising which the UN says has claimed more than 12,000 lives.
